BROOKLYN, Mich. (August 17,
2008) – Ryan Newman and the No. 12
Penske Racing Alltel Dodge team fought
back from a last-place starting position
and handling issues through much of the
3M Performance 400 at Michigan
International Speedway on Sunday
afternoon. Despite the setbacks, the
Alltel team never gave up and worked on
the car throughout the 400-mile event,

Chelsea, MI (July 25, 2008) – Racing for Wildlife – a
joint effort between the Ryan Newman Foundation and The
Conservation Fund – in partnership with Michigan
International Speedway (MIS), Michigan United Conservation
Clubs and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR),
is hosting its first Racing For Wildlife Charity Trap Shoot
on Thursday, August 14, 2008, at the Chelsea Rod and Gun
Club. NASCAR’s winner of the Daytona 500, Ryan Newman, will

communities prepare people and pets for
a disaster. The Ryan Newman Foundation
and Regan Smith Racing are co-sponsoring
the American Humane Association’s Animal
Emergency Services Volunteer Workshop,
which is presented by the SPCA (Society
for the Prevention of Cruelty to
Animals) Alliance of Charlotte, NC. The
workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to
5 p.m. July 19-20, 2008 at the Lowe’s

JOLIET, Ill. (July 10, 2008) - This weekend at
Chicagoland Speedway, all three Penske
Racing NASCAR Cup Series entries will
carry a special decal in memory of
employee Bill Passwater. The decal will
also be on Penske IndyCar Series entries
at Nashville Superspeedway and the
American Le Mans Series entries at Lime
Rock. Passwater, 33, passed away on
Wednesday morning.

Beach, Fla. (Feb. 17, 2008) – With drafting help from Penske
Racing teammate Kurt Busch, Ryan Newman, driver of the No. 12
Alltel Dodge, took the checkered flag and scored a dramatic
victory in the 50th running of the Daytona 500. Newman and Busch
finished one-two at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday
night.
